Privacy notice
This notice is from Daniel Sabangu t/a Studio Pause. It was last updated on 29 October 2026.
What we collect
We only collect what you send us through the two forms on this website.
Project enquiry: your name and email address, and if you choose to add them, the service you’re interested in, a message, your current website address and a budget range.
Free website audit: your website’s address and your email address, and if you choose to add them, your name and a line on what you’d like the site to do better.
Why we collect it
To reply to your enquiry and, if you asked for one, to carry out and send your website audit. We don’t sell your details or use them for marketing without your consent.
Website audits
When we review your website, we check its public address with free testing tools such as Google PageSpeed Insights. These tools only see what any visitor to your site can see. We never ask for passwords or access to your systems.
Where it goes
This website is hosted by Cloudflare. When you send a form, Cloudflare receives it and emails it to our inbox; it isn’t stored on the website. Cloudflare and our email provider may process data outside South Africa, under their own data protection commitments.
Cookies and visitor numbers
This website doesn’t use cookies, advertising or tracking across other sites, so there’s nothing to accept. To see how many people visit and which pages they read, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you. Your browser may also remember, until you close the tab, that the opening animation has already played; that stays on your device.
WhatsApp and social media
If you message us on WhatsApp, Instagram or TikTok, your message and details are handled by that service (WhatsApp and Instagram by Meta, TikTok by TikTok) under their own privacy policies. We use what you send only to reply to you, and keep it as described below.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and audit requests for up to 12 months after we last hear from you, then delete them. If you become a client, we keep project and billing records for five years, as South African tax law requires.
Your rights and how to contact us
You can ask to see, correct or delete the details we hold about you. Our Information Officer is Daniel Sabangu, and you can reach them at studiopausedesign@gmail.com.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
